I just fell in love with this novella. The story just flowed from the time I was introduced to Griff, the Geek and Drew, the lifeguard. This is a story of two very different people brought together by chance who over time learn each other's world: Griff who discovers surfing; Drew who discovers what a talented Comics graphic artist Griff is. Along the way, both discover that there is more to their friendship. A beautiful love story which teaches us that labels have no meaning when two people are meant to be together. I chose this rating because of how much I enjoyed reading the book, I can see myself going back to the story again and again in the future.
I liked the characters.Griffin and Drew were both extremely likable and fit together well. The more intimate and explicit scenes between them were hot but also touching.
I didn't dislike this story/book, but at time is dragged. I wanted to finish it so I could see the end results.
That's heart-warming AND parts-warming . . . More like SMOKIN'!!! If you like M/M reality romance, this is your book.
This was a good read for a lazy day. The story is sweet and uncomplicated. The characters are lovable. It was well worth the price. However, it could have been longer.
Jamie Urban is definitely less "angst-y" than alter ego Cameron Dane, but no less wonderful and creating characters you care about. This was a delightful, quick read. Definitely worth a hour or two of your time.
This was so much fun to read. I liked the fact that we had the POV of both MC's and knew how much they felt for each other before they both gathered enough courage to put their feelings out there. They were both so sweet and kind. I especially loved how Drew made Griffin feel welcome from the first moment they met and how they became such great friends before anything else developed.
Now this, I loved. The story was so sweet! It was a little strange in the layout, but once I got a feel for the writing the story moved right along. I loved the development of the two main characters, but I wanted a bit more about the other characters in the story. The ending was very nice, but left me wanting more. I really liked this one.
